I have this mold and can’t get the keeper to fill not matter what I try. Called Do-It - not very much help. All they would say is not a defective mold, and said it is a known problem - “just keep trying”. Any thoughts? Heating mold didn’t seem to help. Thought about grinding to keeper a little bit larger???

Are the elites smaller than the CT's?

Why not cut the buzzer wire off 3/8” to get a bigger space to hook the bass before you do all this.

As a saltwater person, I have had a lot of success with the Hot Lips and Popeyes. My dad liked the lures in 1/2oz to 1oz. I used them too but I also made the 2 & 3 oz popeyes for trolling.

Good review. It’s a great reel. My problem with it is that it is $30-$40 more than a JDM Zillion. The elite would be a great real in the $150 range. But for my money, I would save my buck on the elite and go Zillion.

i have one, and had to stop using it cause when i would cast it would snap the line. i normally used 18 pound floral line and ive lost a lot of lures casting with this rod... i cant figure out why it breaks the line. ive even gone out and bought a new rod to see if its the rod i have it on and still breaks.

3 months After learning how to fish a jig in mid winter in 45-60’ of water with Mr Ryan Cook 2 yrs ago I started making my own football head and swim jigs … watched quite a few of your videos back then 👍👍 super helpful- at first I was buying unpainted pre-poured jig heads , skirts powder paint .made a 4 cup fluid bed.. ( copied SDG custom lure crafts ) and hand tying on the skirts … now I have 4 molds and I’m pouring my own heads with the Hot pot 👍. Pretty kewl catching fish on something you make yourself- been also airbrushing lures too for about a year now 😎. “ DJ’s Custom Lures “ thanks for providing the inspiration and your knowledge it helped to get the ball rolling 👊.

It’s amazing how much better they looked out in sun. From in the garage they looked kinda blah, outside they look great 😂

What size Jig are you throwing mostly 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2?

i have a question. couldn't you just pour in chartreuse for a particular amount of time into the mold to replace the tail process? and then pour in the other color after?? or would they mix??

Good video how to make your own jigs. Is it really worth all that work to save a couple bucks? Doing it because you enjoy it is one thing but to do it to save some money idk.

When I was young, I used to fish with the Creme Worm, a lifelike nightcrawler look-alike. I would use a spinning rod with a split shot, casting my line into Dixon Lake. You probably haven't heard of Dixon Lake, but back in 2004, it was known for having 10-pound bass. These massive fish would often nose around the Creme Worm as I fished with my spinning rod. If I had ever landed one of those giants, it would have put up quite a fight on my Shakespeare Ugly Stik rod. good times!
